Printers are great when they work, but when they don't it can be extremely frustrating. Here's how to solve some of the most common problems, including not printing at all through to blocked nozzles and other issues.
Printers can run reliably for many years and thousands of copies, but they can also breakdown or stop working entirely.
Sometimes the cause is as simple as over- or below use. Many people don’t use their inkjet imprinters often enough and this can tip to problems with desiccated-up ink obstructive the nozzles. Overuse is less common than misuse: paper clips, hair bands and even food can fall into printers and cause paper logjams (and worse).

My printer won’t photocopy
There are several reasons why your copier won't print, so start with the fundamentals such as testing to see whether there is an error message or warning light on the printer. Make sure there is paper in the tray(s), check the ink or toner containers aren’t empty, the USB rope is plugged in or the printer is linked to Wi-Fi
.
And if it is a system or wireless printer, try using a USB cable in its place. In our experience, some Wi-Fi printers are undependable in terms of their joining. So it's worth unblocking your printer and some power line network devices it's connected to, then rotating everything back on over again.
Select the correct printer!
Now and again the reason a printer won't print is since you've installed selected software which has a 'virtual' imprinter and this has set himself as the non-payment. When you hit Print, a file will be fixed aside by this fundamental printer instead of the article being lead to your somatic copier.
To checked this, open the Supervisor Panel from the Start menu. Then go to Devices and Printers, right-click the right printer to use and set it as the default. (While you're there, you can also confirm the printer's rank is set to Complete. If not, this could be the basis of the problem.)
Next, make sure that the true printer is selected in the database you are printing from - you should see an choice to choose from a list as in the copy below.
